POLICE REPORT
The following items were taken from Burbank Police Department reports:
900 block of North Rose Street: A parked 1995 Toyota Camry was hit by a white sport utility vehicle Friday. The SUV driver left the scene without providing contact information. . 500 block of North First Street: A Sylmar man reported that his in-dash DVD player, worth $1,200, and a wallet with about $300 were stolen from his 2001 GMC Yukon while it was parked in the Sears parking lot Friday.
2300 block of North Brighton Street: A 17-year-old Burbank boy was stopped for a traffic violation Friday. He had no driver’s license, and when the car was searched, police found a methamphetamine pipe and Vicodin. The boy’s sister showed up and said the car and its contents belonged to her. The boy was cited for driving without a license, the car was impounded, and the pipe and Vicodin were taken as evidence. The sister, a 19-year-old Burbank woman, was not arrested at the scene.
40 block of Olive Avenue: A Los Angeles woman was driving her 2003 Honda Accord west on Olive Avenue from First Street on Saturday when the front driver’s side tire came off of a red Mustang traveling east on Olive Avenue and struck her car, causing minor damage to the front end. When she turned her car around, the Mustang was stopped in the road and the driver ran away. The Mustang was impounded as evidence.
600 block of North San Fernando Boulevard: A Burbank man reported that someone broke into his 2003 Chevy Silverado on Sunday and stole his girlfriend’s purse.
1000 block of West Burbank Boulevard: A 47-year-old Stevenson Ranch woman was detained by Costco security Sunday for stealing a bra, shirt, sweater and two containers of king crab spread. The total value of all the items is $166.
