COLBY WARE, BALTIMORE SUN

When Spa On The Avenue in White Marsh did one of its occasional "Dress Down Days" -- allowing employees to break out of the usual black and white dress code for a $5 charitable donation -- stylist Lynette Sutherland, 39, gravitates to her "pretty classic" style. The Middle River resident wore a purple and gray ombre chiffon Wrapper tunic from Kohl's over a black bodysuit she bought at Costco and a gray chambray pleated front Alfani skirt from TJ Maxx. Her black suede floral T-strap cork wedge Bandolino sandals came from the Bon Ton department store in Frostburg. "I got them for $12." Her marcasite ring was a JC Penney purchase, and she bought her silver hoop earrings at a Premier Designs home jewelry party. She's had her antiqued silver multi-charm necklace for a while. One of the main reasons Sutherland sticks to the classics? "I have [five children] to support. So, I need clothes that aren't going to be gone tomorrow."
