The man, identified by police as Gustavo Guerrero, reportedly left the Empire Center store Monday with a shopping cart full of 14 items, including boy’s shirts and pants, infant leggings, two pairs of gloves and boots, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.
Guerrero had allegedly stolen two televisions from the store last week.
Last Wednesday, he allegedly entered the store, put a television into his shopping cart and approached the customer service counter in an attempt to return the item. When customer service employees told him he couldn’t do so without a receipt, he walked out — with the television.
He allegedly did the same thing with a second television two days later.
Burbank police arrested Guerrero on suspicion of burglary, as well as possessing a fraudulent public seal after reportedly discovering a fraudulent immigration card in his wallet, Ryburn said.
He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail and due in court this Wednesday.
