The parade committee selected the parade theme this week and set April 26 as the date for the event, said Carey Briggs, the committee's president.
“This year's theme incorporates all the great aspects of our community with a view toward the future,” Briggs said. “Our friends in the entertainment industry, small businesses, Burbank Water and Power, Burbank Bob Hope Airport, the schools and service clubs are going to have fun depicting this theme while making this a great day for our community.”
Volunteers are needed to help organize the event, which will begin at 11 a.m. and travel east along Olive Avenue from Keystone Street to Lomita Street.
