Burbank Police arrested two men after reportedly finding weapons on them and in their vehicle during a traffic stop.

At 11:05 p.m. on Friday, Burbank police pulled over a silver Chevrolet pickup truck at Victory Boulevard and Manning Street for alleged traffic violations.

Upon pulling over the vehicle, officers observed an open container of beer and asked the driver and two passengers to exit the car.

During a pat-down, police discovered a semiautomatic loaded handgun in the waistband of passenger Victor Manuel Barrientos Jr., 21, of Mission Hills.

He was arrested on suspicion of possessing a loaded firearm. After arresting Barrientos, officers searched the vehicle and found a second loaded handgun.

Another passenger, 34-year-old Edgar Murillo of Lakeview Terrace, was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a loaded firearm and methamphetamine.

Neither of the weapons appeared stolen, Ryburn said.

The driver was issued a citation for driving on a suspended license.
