A Bedford County woman is celebrating a healthy new baby, and the unusual story that came with her arrival.

Robin Posey gave birth to her daughter, Willow, Wednesday.  The delivery was supposed to happen at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg, but Posey couldn't make it.

Little Willow made her entrance in the parking lot of the Sheetz gas station in New London.

Posey's boyfriend, Earl, called 911 when he realized the couple wasn't going to reach the hospital in time.

Deputy Allison Key from the Bedford County Sheriff's Office showed up, along with EMT Eddie Witt.

"Within just a few minutes, an ambulance showed up," Posey said.  "They put me in the ambulance and (the baby) came just a minute or so later."

We'll hear more from Posey and the people who helped deliver her baby tonight on WDBJ7 at 10 and 11.
