Police chased a red Mustang on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway on Wednesday after the occupants allegedly tried to steal a license plate from another vehicle at the Downtown Burbank Metrolink Station, police said.
Police lost the Mustang in heavy traffic at 11:45 a.m. near Western Avenue, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.
A description of the driver or other possible passengers in the car was unavailable, the get-away car had black rims and no plates, Ryburn added.
