In Sherman Oaks, police are looking for suspects in a shooting that left a 38-year-old restaurant worker dead. The incident allegedly occurred inside Hoagies & Wings on Ventura Boulevard when a few patrons got into an argument with the man, who forced them outside. One of the suspects then reportedly shot the victim in the chest. L.A. Now

A North Hollywood school that caters to show biz professionals is moving to Burbank. Part of the reason is the location: The shabby Valley Plaza. Redevelopment plans have stalled in the area, but the school also says the area surrounding their now former building is unsafe. NoHo Patch

Residents on Saturday toured the area in La Crescenta that they helped to save. Dozens descended on Rosemont Preserve, 8 miles of open space to be used for recreation and educational purposes. Glendale News-Press

Montrose Search and Rescue members saved a young girl's life while looking for a missing hiker Friday night in the Angeles National Forest. The child, 1 and a half years old, was allegedly left alone for a moment and she wandered into a river. She was revived and released from the hospital the same day. Valley Sun
