Churches and organizations seek to raise awareness of Assyrian families who are living in Syria but want to return to Iraq. "The problem is nobody cares about our people," Sargoun Issa, president of the Los Angeles chapter of the Assyrian Aid Society, told the Daily News.

The Glendale Stepping Stone Players, now in their 12th year, are presenting a production of "The Music Man" this month. The group was formed by parents who disapproved of the theater productions put on by the local schools. Glendale News-Press
