Good morning readers, today is Monday, September 3.  Private donors have raised more than $10,000 to cover ambulance fees for the victims who were either injured or electrocuted in last month’s Valley Village crash.

Victims had been charged ambulance transport fees for their heroic efforts, but in announcing the donations Thursday, Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Krekorian said community members had stepped up to help cover the bills. Burbank Leader

A winning Mega Millions lottery ticket was sold at a Sherman Oaks Chevron gas station. The winning ticket is one of two sold in Southern California. The two winners will split $781,714. Patch
