Joshua Boston, 24, of Burbank, was arrested after he allegedly robbed and, shortly afterward, attempted to rob the same two Chevron gas stations that he previously hit, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.
After getting the call, a patrol officer headed to the second Chevron that was previously robbed — located in the 2500 block of Olive Avenue — thinking that the suspect might strike there again, too.
He was right.
But when the officer went inside to contact the suspect, the man fled on foot and entered a car that then sped off, Ryburn said.
The officer caught a partial glimpse of the license plate and recovered evidence at the scene, which helped police identify the suspect.
On Monday afternoon, officers arrested Boston at his Burbank home in the 200 block of West Tujunga Avenue.
Police believe Boston was also responsible for the two robberies at Froyo Bliss yogurt shop last month.
Boston is being held in lieu of $1-million bail and is due in court this week.
