Three teens were arrested Saturday after allegedly breaking into a Burbank home, stealing stereo equipment from two elderly residents and later attempting to break into a second home, according to Burbank police.

The suspects – June Davis, 18, Chadney Delaney, 18, and a 17-year-old who was not identified because she’s a minor – were booked on suspicion of robbery, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

Davis’ uncle, Michael Nunes, 57, was also arrested after allegedly hiding Davis in his home.

At 10:50 p.m. on Friday, two seniors reported that a young man forced his way into their home on the 2200 block of North Catalina Street and stole $400 worth of stereo equipment, said BurbankPolice Lt. Eddie Ruiz.  The suspect reportedly had a female accomplice, police said.

The two residents fled their home and called relatives, who contacted Burbank police. The suspects had left by the time police arrived.

Just after midnight, police received another call about a prowler on the 1100 block of North California Street.

Residents of a California Street home scared away the suspect, who police believe was involved in the Catalina Street robbery.

Investigators spent the night following leads and eventually served a search warrant on Davis’ home.

Police called the incidents “crimes of opportunity” and said they do not believe there is any connection between the victims.

Davis and Delaney are each being held on $100,000 bail and are due in court Wednesday. The minor was cited for robbery and released to her mother.

Police urge anyone with information on the incidents to call Burbank detectives at (818) 238-3210.
