South Pasadena 41, South East 34: The Tigers opened up pool play of the El Segundo Tournament with their seventh straight victory on Tuesday evening.
South Pasadena improved to 8-2 and will face Los Angeles Price on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
Pasadena Poly 53, El Monte 36: The Panthers improved to 8-1 after a nonleague road victory Tuesday evening.
Will Genske led the Panthers’ offense with 18 points, while Curtis Toyota chipped in 13 points and Griffin Carter contributed eight points in the fourth to seal the win.
South Pasadena 3, Burbank Burroughs 2: The Tigers rebounded from a quick 1-0 hole in scoring the next three goals and winning Tuesday’s nonleague home match.
Junior midfielder Zack Dunn led the way for the Tigers (7-1), assisting on the go-ahead goal in 37th minute on a score from Danny Zurita. Dunn then finished off the scoring for the Tigers two minutes later on a goal from 18 yards. South Pasadena opened with a score in the 30th minute when defender Andrew Moreno scored off a throw-in for Heven Gomez.
South Pasadena has outscored its opponents, 32-4, this season.
Westridge 1, Chadwick 0: A goal from Julia Matthiessen was all the Tigers needed in a Prep League home victory Monday afternoon.
Goalie Ashley Hebard finished with six saves for Westridge (4-3, 1-1).

Los Altos 10, South Pasadena 9: Driver Devin Grab scored seven goals for the Tigers in her seasonal debut after returning from the FINA Youth Championships, but South Pasadena surrendered a goal with less than 30 seconds to play in a nonleague road defeat to the Division IV second-ranked team Tuesday afternoon.
The Tigers lead, 8-5, to begin the fourth, but could not hold their advantage in falling to 3-6 this season.
Puget Sound 97, Caltech 70: The host Beavers were outscored, 53-37, in the second half of the final game of the SCIAC Classic at the Braun Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon.
Guard Michael Edwards led the Beavers (0-10) with 20 points, while KC Emezie added 16 points, Bryan Joel contributed nine points and Andrew Hogue chipped in eight points and 10 rebounds.
