Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a bank last night in North Riverside.

A man entered the TCF bank at 7201 W. 24th St. about 7:30 p.m. Thursday and robbed it, according to FBI spokesman Joan Hyde.

The masked robber implied he had a weapon but did not show it and did not injure anyone during the robbery inside a Jewel-Osco, said North Riverside Police Sgt. Christian Ehrenberg.

The robber is described as black, 28-30 and about 6-feet tall, wearing a khaki-colored trench coat, a dark blue ski mask and a dark blue scarf wrapped around the lower half of his face during the robbery, said Ehrenberg.

The FBI said the robber was carrying a red paper bag.

He has a medium build and got away with at least $800, said the sergeant.

No arrests have been made, Ehrenberg said Friday afternoon.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 312-421-6700.
