GARDENA, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police in Gardena are searching for the driver who struck a 19-year-old pedestrian and left the victim to die in the street.

The fatal hit-and-run happened Thursday evening in front of a liquor store.

The victim was one of four men walking down El Segundo Boulevard after leaving the liquor store, when a car plowed into him.

Investigators say the car took off and so did the three witnesses. The victim was dead when officers arrived.

At this point, investigators have few leads. They say they want to question the witnesses to determine if they had any involvement.
